Mother! Ammmmazing!

Spoiler safe zone!
Those imdb points! I’m still not sure how much I should trust them, really. For the horror/thriller movie genre, tho, I have a scale. I don’t expect them to hit the 7’s or 8’s. Some movie slightly over 5,5 deserves a chance in my opinion. However for Mother!, I had a spare place. I had heard of it so much so that I wouldn’t ever care about the Imdb point.
You know, what?! I did just that. And I wasn’t wrong at all. I could proudly say it was my all time favorite or something close to that. First it took me a while to figure out exactly what was going on. Then it was even more interesting to watch. It didn’t even lose anything from its magic. I must say it deserves a second time watching. It might even be necessary. That much of mysteriousness I’m speaking about… so you get the picture.
To speak about the actings, both Javier Bardem and Jennifer Lawrence are amazing (with multiple m’s). Certainly there more than the two. You’ll see quite a bunch of celebrities in this movie, including Michelle Pfeiffer. I’m just going to put the trailer below but I’m not sure if it gives you enough of an impression of how good this movie is.
Meanwhile, I’ve just discovered that the imdb point of Mother! is currently 6,7. Although it’s quite a good point in its genre, honestly I found it quite low. I guess there are some people out there who didn’t quite understand the movie. Or better yet, don’t event trust those points 😉

Listen! Buika – Jodida pero Contenta

I am actually making a new collection and planning on setting up a playlist on Spotify. I’m coming across with new people especially after having moved to Barcelona. Obviously music has been one of the ice breakers on making conversations with these new people. I ask them to make a small list of artists or bands, along with a few songs of theirs that they like. The only condition is that these artists or bands shouldn’t be worldwide famous. So no madonnas in the list. In this aspect today’s song is from O&E from Turkey.

The Killing of a Sacred Dear

* There are “no spoilers” in this post so feel free to read

Now that I am back to blogging (not that i quit vlogging… important point!), I think it is time to make a short review of my two top movies of 2017, one being “The Killing of a Sacred Dear” and the other will be the subject of another post.

I do have kind of an obsession for horror, tension movies. Except the real good ones are really few in number. It is not a thirst for blood, in fact I hate to see too bloody scenes. I am looking for an intellect in the scenarios. Having said all these, my second favorite in this genre in 2017 is “The Killing of a Sacred Dear”. Nicole Kidman is the same old Nicole Kidman, always beautiful, always talented. I don’t personally remember a single movie of hers that I didn’t like. And for such a hottie (yes, still…) like Colin Farrell, I can’t even come to point of talent. I’m stuck in his beauty. But put these all time super-duper artists aside, we see a new face, honestly not a very handsome one either, Barry Keoghan. I really loved the acting of this young chap among the hollywood stars. By the way, you must also watch him at “Dunkirk”.

Apart from the actings, this movie is definitely a must-see, if you still haven’t. Let me just share with you the trailer and you decide for yourself.

Acabo de terminar “La casa de papel”

Uffff!

Check out my Youtube channel

Aaah! When was the last time I made an entry here, I don’t even remember. But in fact this silence was for a good reason. Lots of things happened in this period. The biggest obviously being moving countries. Yes, I left Istanbul about a year ago and moved on to Barcelona. Obviously it’s a really “heavy” time of my life. Not just physically but also emotionally…

Musically speaking, moving also worked positively in my case. In fact I had a plan to release an album (which I still have) but there is this little twist in plans. I have initiated a youtube channel. I was planning this one as well. No surprises :). It’s name is “Good Times”… Here’s the link so maybe you want to come and watch some videos (and some new songs) of mine and who knows, maybe even subscribe :). So as a bonus I will be sharing my lastest song, Wish You Were Gone.

Come and join to Good Times… it’s really fun out there…
